JOSH HEBERT HAS WITHDRAWN
PLEASE VOTE FOR MORGAN WADSWORTH
Josh worked hard to start a movement with this campaign, and he did.
The system is broken. We all know it, but the crazy thing is that we all agree on why: Big Money calls the shots. Our government will never deliver for us like it should until we get Big Money out of politics. Deep down, we all know this.
There is only one sure fix for this problem: a constitutional amendment. There’s only one way to get that passed: a popular movement. We need an amendment we can build a popular movement around. That kind of amendment didn’t exist, so Josh proposed the Ban Big Money Amendment. This campaign was just the beginning of building a movement around it.
Voters are the most important part of that movement. The Ban Big Money Amendment only has power when we use it. Learn More
Democratic CD2 Candidate Stances on the Ban Big Money Amendment
Morgan Wadsworth supports it.
Mark Jolle supports it.
Samuel White supports it.
Greg Kidd supports it.
Kathy Durham has verbally supported it.
Matthew Fonken has been asked directly, but no stance was given.
Teresa Benitez-Thompson (and others) have not supported the amendment after being asked publicly many times.
Build Strong Communities
Josh was motivated to run because our republic is struggling and he has ideas for what we can do about it.
The foundation of a strong republic is strong communities, but ours are not strong. We are fractured, divided, and isolated. Loneliness is an epidemic. The only answer is to come together as people, but how?
Josh has an idea: “Civil Saturday.” On the second Saturday of each month, devote a couple hours of your day to community. That can be as simple as hanging out with your neighbors. That’s how Josh started, and he’s putting it on YouTube to show it’s possible. Even though their candidacies are over, Josh and Samuel White are continuing this experiment in community building. You should try it, too!
Radically Candid
Directly Honest
Truly Accepting
Josh Hebert hates poll-tested talking points, plastic personas, and carefully calibrated answers. You didn’t get that from him. He was open, honest, and transparent about everything, even the unflattering stuff. He was asking for your trust, so he felt you were entitled to the truth.
That’s not how politics is done, which is why Josh is determined to do things differently. That’s the only way to change things. In a world full of deception, self and otherwise, honesty is radical. However, it’s not always comfortable. Sometimes it can be confrontational.
Josh loves people. He accepts them as they are. He sees the good in them, and he shares it with them. It’s what motivates him. Disagreement doesn’t change how he feels about people. He aspires to bring them together. That makes him a fierce foe of hatred and division.
This is What
Transparency Looks Like
Josh Hebert knew he had to put his money where is mouth was, so he planned to show you by producing a reality-style documentary of his campaign. He couldn’t quite manage that, but he did produce quite a bit to make sure people knew exactly what his positions were on pressing issues.
